I can’t believe a year has gone by since the I’m Sweet Enough 7-Day No Sugar Added Challenge. That means it’s time to do it again!

There are many, many benefits to reducing added sugar in our diets (click here to read my blog post from last year for more on this). But sugar is everywhere, so it is very easy to slide down a sugary, slippery slope and have it more frequently than is good for us. Especially after fall and winter holiday feasting, chocolate on Valentine’s Day and spring holidays like Passover, Easter and Mother’s Day.
So I time the I’m Sweet Enough 7-Day No Sugar Added Challenge to come after these holidays but, perhaps more importantly, before the hot summer weather when we start peeling off our extra layers. 😉
The I’m Sweet Enough 7-Day No Sugar Added Challenge is a lot of fun. We go on an expedition to climb back up that sugary, slippery slope that we’ve just fallen down (and learn a little about summiting Everest on the way). And it’s free to join in, so what have you got to lose – besides maybe a little weight?

The recipes were really tasty and not difficult to make. I also liked the daily modules – it was important to keep me on track and they were very informative.
Your recipes are my style, if there are more than 6 ingredients, I lose interest. My “bloat” has almost disappeared, I’ve lost 5 lbs and I feel much better. It’s a total mind shift for me and I thank you.

About the I’m Sweet Enough 7-Day No Sugar Added Challenge
It’s both sugar-free and free to join in. We won’t eliminate whole foods that naturally contain sugar (like fruit) but there will be no added sugars or foods that quickly turn to sugar in the bloodstream (like refined flour and other refined grains) on the menu. Nor will there be beverages that contain sugar (that includes alcohol – so consider yourself warned). 😉
What’s included in the I’m Sweet Enough 7-Day No Sugar Added Challenge?
- Your 7-day menu plan (with modifications for vegetarians) & grocery list
- The “rules of engagement” (what’s in, what’s out and what to watch for on labels to identify stealth sugar hidden in prepared foods)
- Strategies to prevent and/or conquer any sugar cravings
- Tips on adding sweetness naturally (as well as bonus recipes for naturally sweetened treats)
- Encouragement and support (from me and your fellow challengers)
- Suggestions for new rules of engagement with sugar post-challenge
The menu plan takes care of the planning and removes the guesswork but feel free to do all, some or none of it. The goal is simply to eliminate added sugar for a week, however you wish to.
