Bell Peppers & Citrus

Everyone thinks about oranges when it comes to fighting off colds. But did you know that yellow bell peppers contain three times as much vitamin C as a navel orange on a gram for gram basis? Remember that you need to eat these foods daily because your body cannot store vitamin C.

Garlic

Garlic fights off infections as well as vampires! Research has shown that sulphur compounds in garlic boost the ability of some types of white blood cells to fight viruses. Crushing garlic and letting it stand for 10 minutes before cooking helps prevent the loss of its medicinal properties.

Cooking your own food is the single most impactful step you can take to improve your health and energy!
